How WebYore handles destination updates, retired short codes, read-only failover and service limits.

Update the destination, keep the address
Owners can update account-managed redirect links. A QR code pointing to that short link keeps the same encoded URL. Snapshots preserve a captured result instead of tracking subsequent changes on the source site.
Retired codes are not reassigned
Deleting a link leaves a tombstone: its short code is not given to another destination. Disabling, deletion, expiry and safety blocks can still make a link unavailable. Keeping a code reserved does not guarantee its destination stays online.
Read-only continuity
An independent OCI VM holds a synchronized read-only route replica. During continuity operation, only existing synchronized redirect links with fresh safety decisions can redirect. Creating links, snapshots, QR codes and images, signing in, account changes and API writes are paused.
What redundancy does not guarantee
A missing or stale replica, an outdated safety decision, destination failure, DNS or network failure can still interrupt access. Continuity requires operational activation and routing; it is not a promise of instant or permanent failover. Snapshots and image delivery are not part of this read-only redirect service.
Before printing or publishing
Keep your own destination records and backups of important content. Test printed QR codes, review expiry settings and follow the status page during incidents. WebYore does not currently offer a public availability SLA or a lifetime hosting guarantee.
