Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about free accounts, QR destinations, retention, snapshots and image hosting.
Updated
Is WebYore free?
Yes. Free accounts have published usage limits. See Plans and Limits for the current standard allowances; your account shows your effective entitlement.
Can I change a printed QR code's destination?
Yes, when it encodes a WebYore redirect link you can manage. Update that link's destination in your account. A QR code encoding an external URL directly cannot be changed this way.
Will my link always work?
No service can promise that. Expiry, deletion, moderation, destination failures and outages can interrupt a link. WebYore reserves deleted codes and maintains bounded read-only redirect continuity; see the reliability policy for details.
Is a snapshot a full website backup?
No. It preserves content available at capture time, not databases, authenticated sessions or every interactive feature. Public access restrictions, unavailable images or changed source structure may prevent a complete capture.
Who can use image hosting?
Signed-in users or authorized API clients can upload or import images. A share URL can be accessed by anyone who receives it; lack of a public gallery is not private access control. Direct imports may fail if the source denies retrieval.
How long is content retained?
There is no lifetime hosting promise. User expiry and deletion, moderation and service availability affect access. Review the privacy policy for operational data retention; keep a separate backup of material you cannot afford to lose.
When is WebYore a good fit?
It suits manageable short links, QR codes pointing to them, public-content reading snapshots and API-based image workflows. It is not an authenticated website backup service or an enterprise service with a published uptime SLA.
